I failed to mention that I had previously pulled the carburetor apart, but it looked quite clean and in order (i did not replace diaphragms though).

It revs up to full speed but after about 2-3 seconds. The trimmer starts on the first pull and idles without issue. I also replaced the spark plug and did a compression test. I just swapped the carb out with a brand new one (OEM) on my RedMax BCZ3060ts Trimmer.
